Dr. M.P. Singh is presently
working as Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at
Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), (A Central University) Lucknow.
Dr. Singh obtained Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from
University of Delhi and did Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from
Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. He started his career as Librarian in ITI,
Delhi and presently involved in teaching and research with more than twenty
years’ experience in the profession. Eight Ph.D. Scholars have obtained their
doctorate and thirty-Nine M.Phil. scholars have successfully done their
dissertation work under his guidance. Dr. Singh has written four books, edited
ten books, written thirteen book chapters, presented sixty papers in various
national and international conferences, he has also written thirty five
research papers in journals of repute at national & international levels,
delivered more than twenty-five invited talks, chaired fifteen sessions at
different conferences & committees, attended twenty workshops and has
delivered many lectures in refresher courses. He has also attended a number of
National and International Conferences and has acted as Invited Speaker,
Chairperson in various technical sessions in some of these conferences. He has
been on member of editorial board of some library and information science
journals. He is also a Life member of ILA, IATLIS, IASLIC, SALIS and SLA-Asian
Chapter.
Miss Neha Lata is pursuing
Ph.D. in the Department of Library and Information Science at Babasaheb Bhimrao
Ambedkar University, Lucknow. Miss Lata has done B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics
and Electronics from University of Lucknow, Lucknow. She has obtained Master’s
and M.Phil. Degree in Library and Information Science from Babasaheb Bhimrao
Ambedkar University, Lucknow. She has cleared National Eligibility Test
(UGC-NET) twice. She has one year teaching experience as resource person and
taught BLIS and MLIS students in the Department of Library and Information
Science at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. She had published many
articles in national and international journals and conferences.
Dr. Sharad Kumar Sonkar is currently
working as Associate Professor in the Department of Library and Information
Science, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University Lucknow. Before joining this
University, he has worked in various universities and institutions such as
Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Defence Scientific Information & Documentation
Centre (DESIDOC), New Delhi; Digital Library, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health
Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore and Central Library, Bundelkhand University,
Jhansi. He has more than twenty years of experience in library and information
science profession and is presently involved in teaching and research. He has
guided four Ph.D. scholars, thirteen M.Phil. and eighty MLISc students. Dr.
Sonkar has co-edited nine books, written twenty four book chapters and over one
hundred and twenty research papers/articles published in peer reviewed
national, international journals and conference proceedings. He has served
various administrative responsibilities such as Administrative Warden, Warden
and Assistant Proctor of the university. His area of specialization includes
Information Technology, Management of Electronic Resources, IT applications to
Library and Information Services, Digital Library and Information Retrieval
System, Library Automation and Networking. He is also a Life member of ILA,
IATLIS, IASLIC, etc.
