This book is an annotated classified bibliography of Indian library literature published during the five year period of the first half of he eighties (1981-85). It is an attempt at bibliographic control of the contributions made by Inian librarians, and students in English language only. It excludes the library literature produced by Indian authors in other regional languages of he country. This annotated bibliography guide includes citations from professional periodicals, edited books, published conference and seminar papers. Besides it also includes contributins by Indian authors published in foreign library and information science journals as well as books edited abroad. The citatins are prepared according to well recognised national and international practices being closely followed for the bibliographic compilation. the abbreviations used for periodicals are also standardised. the citations included are serially numbered for their easy retrieval with the help of Author Index and Subject Index given at the end. It is thus, not only a useful guide for students and teachers but also an indispensable information source for those who want to make literature survey in any branch of library and information science.
