Prof. C. A. Augustine having retired from the University of Kerala as Head of the Department of Library & Information Science in 1991 served in the Kerala Agricultural University as its Professor & Library Advisor until August 1995. During this period he was responsible for planning and designing the Central University Library Building for the Kerala Agricultural University at Vellanikkara, Thrissur, and for developing other library buildings in distant university campuses like Vellayani, and. for proposing the Kerala Agricultural University Library and Information System & Computer Network (KAULIS & LISNET). Since then he has been working as Guest Faculty in different universities and he has been the grand teacher of more than 5 generations of library science teachers. His long experience in teaching and the profession has led to his enormous contributions in library and information science literature with several books and compilations including about 100 learned papers. His latest book, Information Science: Information, Knowledge, Communication and Libraries (2021) has been well received by the professional community.
