This text is grounded with
theoretical and practical aspects of leadership and management in library
science education, library practice and library administration.
This book can facilitate new learners to get
acquainted with the basic knowledge of leadership and management which can be
applied in practical aspects of academics and library
area. Efforts
have been made to explain the concepts in a simple and
comprehensive manner to develop a foundation for new library professionals.
This book will help in managing such leadership aspects in their practical life
in library profession as it will help them to understand the basic concepts of
management and leadership in simple terms.
The
chapters have been sequentially placed to facilitate ease of reading and
understanding. This textbook is divided into six units, with each unit focusing
on one of the major domains of library management.
Anil Kapoor is presently associated with
the Swift Library, under the Baba Farid Health University, Faridkot, Punjab.
The author holds Doctoral degree in Library & Information Science from
Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and has also done Master of Philosophy in
Library & Information Science from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and
got his M.L.I.Sc., B.L.I.Sc. and B.A. (Psychology) from the same university. He
also possesses M.A and M. Phil in Music. Dr. Anil K. Kapoor has published 10
research papers in different doubly peer reviewed journals of national and
international repute. He has participated in about three national
conferences/workshops/seminars held in different parts of the world. Dr. Kapoor
specializes in marketing of library products & services, management,
