Dr. Suryakant obtained his B.A. in English (Lit.), Geography and Sanskrit from B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra; M.A. in Geography from B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra; BLIS and Manuscriptology from B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra; MLIS from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and Ph. D. from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. He worked as Deputy Librarian form Sept 1988 to Feb. 2000 at Central Library, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Presently he is working as Chief Librarian at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi since the year 2000 and is actively involved in professional activites at national and international level. He has attended many international/national seminars, conferences and contributed number of papers on LIS in various research journals and has two books to his credit.
Om Shashi Shekhar Singh obtained his B.A. in English (Lit.) and Economics from Harish Chandra P.G. College, Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, BLIS from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi; MLIS from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and Office Automation (library packages) from TSRA, Varanasi. He worked as Library Assistant at BVAC (NIHRD), Varanasi, as Librarian at JNV Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, Presently he is working as Librarian at Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mewat (Old Gurgaon), Haryana and is actively involved in professional activities several international/national seminars, conferences and contributed number of papers on LIS in various research journals, periodicals and newspapers. He was honoured by social & educational organizations in Kanpur, Allahabad, Delhi, Jhansi and Varanasi, He is a life member of ILA, New Delhi, UPLA, Lucknow, IASLIC, Kolkata, SIS, New Delhi, DLA, New Delhi, KLA Thiruvananthapuram and MALA, Chennai.
