Dr. Shiva Sukula is Deputy Librarian at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Central Library, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Previously, she has been Dy. Librarian at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra and she has been associated with Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut since 2004 as Assistant Librarian.

After graduating and having a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Lucknow in 2000 with first position in order of merit, Shiva Sukula qualified UGC-NET/JRF and received her Ph. D. degree in Library and Information Science. She is the recipient of National Scholarship and UGC Research Fellowship as well. Dr. Sukula has authored seven books. She has published several technical papers in renowned national, international journals and conferences. Dr. Sukula is currently contributing through web-based information resources and services by extending the Digital Library development and services. Her professional competencies involve integration of new technologies towards development of networked information services and implementation of active information literacy programs for enhancing library services for providing high quality services to end-users.
