C. Lal is now a very well known name in the field of library and information science as
the author of several popular books on the subject. He did his M.Lib.Sc. from Jiwaji
University, Gwalior. He taught library science for several years thereafter. He has just
retired after serving for 36 years at the Research Library of Mathematics Department of
Agra College, Agra. This department and its library is renowned for its research, not only
in Agra University, but throughout the country.
