Journalism is moving online rapidly and just as the site of journalism is changing, so is the nature of the more feature oriented journalism now increasingly being practiced here. Photojournalism is a particular form of Journalism, i. e.; The collecting, editing and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast, that creates images in order to tell a news story. Print media-a medium -a means or instrumentlity for storing or communication information to public, press-the gathering and publishing of news in the form of newspapers or magazines. Photojournalism as a descriptive form often implies the use of certain bluntness of style or approach to image-making, one would not call a normal wedding photographer a 'photojournalist' even though they cover a timely event and their images may be published in the press. The book discusses in detail about all the aspects relating to the ping medial and photojournalism. Charles Nandi did his M. A. In Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Calcutta, Kolkata. He has 17 years of experience both with first class print and audio-visual news media as a Senior Journalist at national level. He spent five years with ETV News (running 12 satellite channels in India) and became Channel Head of ETV Bihar Channel. He has held senior positions in the field of journalism. As a journalist, he has covered many national and international events. He also attended CNN South-Asia Workshop on Television Journalism. He worked as a journalist in Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam. and other North Eastern states. He has over ten years of experience with Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Kolkata as a Guest Faculty. Pursuing his Ph. D. in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Calcutta, Kolkata, Charles Nandi is the Head, Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism, Bundelkhand Univeristy, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.
