Dr. Gudev Singh is a post graduate in Economicsand Doctorate in Library and Information Science from University of Delhi. He is in library profession for the last 20 years. At present he is working as Librarian at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi, Delhi.

He has published several research papers on different aspects of library and information science in national and international journals of repute and attended a number of seminars/ workshops at national and international levels. He was selected as one of the participants from SAAC countries in a training programme on Computer Applications in Libraries/ Documentation/ Information activities orgnized by SAARC Documentation Center, New Delhi. He has attended several refresher and orientation courses in the field of library and information science orgnized by by various university time to time. Several students have completed M. Phil and PGDLAN programmes under his guidance. He has to his credit a book entitled " Information and Users: An Enquiry into the Nature of Designing an Effective information System for Journalists". This book well appreciated by the media professionals. One of his articles entitled Use of Libraries by Faculty Members of University of Delhi' was well appreciated by the professionals and also translated in Gujarati by library professionals of Gujarat. He is a life member of Indian Library Association(ILA), Delhi Library Association(DLA) and a member of Library Association(UK).
