Dr. Sanjeevi AMBA (S. AMBA) has more than 25 years of experiece in library and information work. she is an associate of the Documentation, Research and Training Centre, Bangalore and has obtained the Ed. S. (Librarianship) and the Ph.D. degree from the University Alabama, USA. Dr. Amba is the recipient of the faculty Scholar Award of the School of Library and Information Science, university of Albama. Her research interests include information retrieval, applications of computer in library and information science activities, patent, information and management of special libraries and information centres. Dr. Amba has more than 30 papers in national and international periodicals and seminars and conferences and has served as a resource person in workshops on CDS/ISIS. Dr. Amba is presently an Assistant Director, Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai.

Dr. K. S.Raghavan has over 25 years of experience as a teacher of Library and Information Science. He obtained his Masters Degree from University of Delhi and his Ph.D. form the University of Mysore. Dr. Raghavan is a recipient of the Fulbright Senior Fellowship and was affiliated to the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of California at Los Angeles, USA. He was elected as a corresoponding member of the IFLA section on Classification and Indexing (1992-1997) and has served as a mimber of the U. G. C. Panel on Library and Information Science. He has also served as a member of several expert committees. Dr. Raghavan's research interests include Classification and Indexing, Information Retrieval and Multilingual Database. Dr. Raghavan has edited six volumes and has more than 50 papers to his credit. Presently, Dr. Raghavan is Professor and Head, Departmant of Library and Information Science, University of Madras, Chennai.
