V.V.V. Satyanarayana has been in the field for more than three decades. He
has a rich and varied experience in the library and information services related
to science and technology areas. He started his career in the then Regional
Research Laboratory, Hyderabad (1964-68), and continued his work in the
libraries of premier institutes of higher learning namely: Indian Institute of
Technology, Madras (1968-70) and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
(1970-77).He joined the present incumbent in 1977. His specialisation includes
Library Cataloguing and Classification Computer Application to Information
Storage and Retrieval and User Studies. He has more than fifty publications to
his credit published in journals and conferences. The publications cover the
entire gamut of library and information science. His papers were well received
in the national and international conferences.
