Sooryanarayana P.S. (b. 1976) did his B.Sc. , and secured First Class with distinction from Vivekananda College, Puttur in the year1977. Further, he did M.L.I. Sc. from Mangalore University with distinction in the year 1999. Now he is doing research in the field of Library and Information Science. Mahesh V. Mudhol (b. 1954) did his graduationin Science and secured first rank with Gold Medal in B.Lib. Sc. from Karnatak University, Dharwad in 1975. Further, he received hi Master's in LIS from the same university in 1976. He has worked in several responsible capacities such as Librarian at N.I.O.(CSIR) Dona -Paula, Goa and as Documentalist at Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. Currently he is working as Senior Lecturer in LIS at Mangalore University, Karnatak. He has been holding this positionsince 1982. The author has about 20 professional articles to his credit. He has also authored two books viz. Children's Libraries: A Study' and Library Automation Using Foxpro 2.0
